Plus or Minus
One in eight American couples will experience difficulty conceiving children, commonly referred to as infertility.
What often most surprises couples when they experience the unexpected trial of infertility is not the medical costs or procedures involved, but the collateral damage that infertility brings with it: the mental, emotional, marital, social, and spiritual damage that makes infertility not just a medical issue but a whole life issue.
Matt and his wife, Cheri, have experienced much of this collateral damage through four years of attempting to conceive a child. As the years have passed they have found, quite by accident, numerous other couples in similar situations. Although their doctors and treatment plans are different, the emotions of infertility are remarkably common among them. It is from these common struggles that Plus or Minus was born: a desire to bring wisdom, stories, experiences, and hope to other couples experiencing infertility.
At the most difficult moments in life, it’s important to know we’re not alone.
